What's New!
Castle, Boats and Swans

An adaptation of: Chaleau de la Mothe-Chandeniers
(France)
A crumbling French chateau dating back to the 13th
century was once a legendary party palace, is really
located with its own moat at Les Trois -Moutiers,
200 miles south of Paris in the south-western Poitou-Chaentes
region... In 1932, tragedy struck yet again when
a
huge fire tore through the chateau after new central
heating was installed, destroying much of its structure
and all its belongings. Countless antiques, priceless
paintings and rare books were lost. It sat empty
until it was purchased in 1981. Footage of the archaic
estate
in its current state shows a castle completely overgrown
with trees. But with its fairytale utrrets and defiant
arches, the property's potential is undeniable.
I decided to design my own version of this once grand
castle... and changed the mote to a lake with waterfalls,
boats and swans! Enjoy!
Painted on 24 x 48 gallery canvas.
